 Arex
- Alien navigator of the Starship USS Enterprise on the animated
sci-fi series STAR TREK/NBC/1973-75. Lieutenant Arex was a
raspy-voiced, tri-pedal creature (three arms, three legs) with
orange skin, round yellow eyes and a concave-shaped head. Arex
served as a merchant marine for ten years before he entered
Starfleet Academy to train as a technician. Arex hails from the
planet Edos. The Edoans play a flute-like instrument called a "sessica"
and are extremely long-lived. Arex can trace his family roots back
three thousand years.
