Tab Hunter starred in the sitcom THE TAB HUNTER
SHOW/NBC/1960-61 as the swinging bachelor
cartoonist Paul Morgan, creator of the comic
strip "Bachelor-at-Large" whose character's
lifestyle was a dead ringer for his own carefree
existence.
Taking care of this wild playboy was
Paul's conservative housekeeper, Thelma (Rita Shaw)
whose eyebrows were in a permanent state of
elevation from the going's on at his Malibu
Beach apartment.
"My name is Paul Morgan. I do this daily comic
strip called "Bachelor at Large." Actually it's
an account of all the things that happen to me.
Well, naturally, I, I don't always intend
to remain a bachelor. I intend to get married
someday. But not right now.

And because Paul was always dating the girls
in his life, his boss John Larsen (Jerome
Cowan), had to hound Paul to get his artwork
submitted on time. In the end, Paul always found
the discipline to detach from his womanizing
long enough to make the deadline for his
"Bachelor-at-Large" comic strip.
