Man's Prowler - The sci-fi series
NIGHT MAN/SYN/1997-99 starred Matt McColm as
Johnny Domino, a saxophone player turned
superhero. When not battling the bad guys,
Johnny cruised the streets of San Francisco in
his fantastically sleek Chrysler hot rod,
(a.k.a. "The Plymouth Prowler").
The Prowler sported a sweeping light
aluminum body painted in a "Prowler Purple"
color; as well as:
open sports car cockpit,
a
steering-wheel-mounted tachometer
17-inch
tires in the front and 20-inch tires in the
rear
an AutoStick transmission (a stick shift
without a clutch)
a 3.5 liter engine
24-valve-single-overhead-cam V6 that
generates 214 horse power at 5,850 rpm and
221 pound-foot of torque at 3,100 rpm
a rumbling dual stainless steel exhaust
a six-disc CD changer.
The Prowler was created by a Chrysler
design team headed by Design Chief Tom Gale.
