Annie Awards - Presented by the Hollywood division of the International Animated Film Society for distinguished contribution in the film art of animation. The IAFCS is the largest branch of the ASIFA, the Association Internationale du Film Anime, founded in 1959 in Annecy, France. The Hollywood division founded their awards in 1972. The ANNIE recognizes excellence by men and women in the animated film industry, including the many television animated cartoon flooding the television airwaves.
