Ad-Schlock Awards
- Awarded by Lee Gaiteri (a.k.a.
"Lummox, Jr."), these computer on-line awards celebrated the seasons
worst TV commercials. Categories included the Most Monotonous, The
Most Embarrassing, The Most Pretentious, The Most Boring, The
Lamest Concept, The Worst Slogan, and The Worst Jingle. Since this
is an On-line computer award there is no physical award. Instead
the award trophy is a picture of a cheap bronze statuette eight
inches in height in the shape of a TV set with a silver toilet
plunger through it. The Ad-Schlock awards debuted on the Internet in 1996 (not updated since then).
