  Birds - Advertising Mascots

Robert Hall BirdsRobert Hall Birds - Robert Hall clothing stores (now defunct) used a family of animated birds, reminiscent of an early black radio duo of Moran and Mack, to advertise their wares in the 1950s. Featured characters included a Mommy bird with a flower hat, Daddy bird with a straw hat and a Baby bird who whined throughout the commercial. Suspended from a phone wire, the birds sang "Clothing values are high. And the prices are low" The 20-second "Watch the Birdies" commercial spot was created by Arkwright Advertising Agency in 1954. The black & white bird characters were designed by Jack Zander.
