Pretty Lady - Charter boat featured in the
storyline of the prime time soap drama MELROSE PLACE/FOX/1992-99. After a fire
destroyed Jake Hanson's (Grant Show) motorcycle shop in September 1993, he
joined forces with Jo Beth Reynold's (Daphne Zuniga) ex-con boyfriend Reed
Carter (James Wilder) to run a charter boat
named Pretty Lady. When Jo Beth
killed Reed (who had been using the boat to smuggle drugs) Jake took over the
operation.
Later a very sexy woman named Brittany (Jill Ireland) destroyed the boat as
part of a get-even revenge plot formulated by crooked Palmer Woodward (Wayne
Tippit), Jake's former partner in a fake Avanti replica scheme. Brittany
double-crossed Palmer, killing him before he could kill Jake, and then planted
explosives and blew up the Pretty Lady. Jake then bought Shooter's Bar with
the reward money earned from the FBI for helping capture the fleeing Brittany.
