- Cabin cruiser on the detective drama RIPTIDE/NBC/1984-86/USA/1987. The
Riptide, docked at pier 56 of King Harbor, was the base of operations for two
southern California private detectives Cody Allen (Perry King), and Nick Ryder
(Joe Penny). Cody's speed boat The
Ebbtide and Nick's run-down helicopter the
Screaming Mimi assisted the boys on their many investigations. See also -
