The Elephant - Houseboat on the sitcom IT'S A MAN'S WORLD/NBC/1962-63. Based along the Ohio River town of Cordella, the Elephant was the home of four young men: Tom-Tom De Witt (Ted Bessell), the boat's owner; Wes Macauley (Glenn Corbett), his college friend/buddy; Howie Macauley (Mike Burns), Wes' kid brother; and Vern Hodges (Randy Boone), a easy-living guitarist.

One of the boat house rules (No. 2) stated: "No girls below decks without an acceptable chaperone."
