Mark Savage Novels
- Favorite author of Lionel Whitney (Jeff Goldblum), a
stockbroker turned private eye on the detective drama TENSPEED
AND BROWN SHOE/ABC/1980.
Known also as Brown Shoe, Lionel got into the
detective business because of his love of old style Bogart like
detectives from the 1930s.
The author of the Mark
Savage novels (for example," The Screaming Dead Man") was called
Stephen J. Cannell which not so coincidentally was the name of
the series producer.
