Color TV Broadcasts - The first color transmission was broadcast in 1945. It featured the Skyline of New York City. The first regularly scheduled transmission of color TV was June 25, 1951. Color broadcasting officially arrives in the U.S. on Dec. 17, 1953 when FCC approves modified version of an RCA system. The first color transmission from space came from Apollo 15 on July 26, 1971.
