Foreign Production (Australian) - The first major Australian production to be broadcast on United States television was the six-episode series AGAINST THE WIND telecast over Metro Media Stations from August 26 through Sept 1, 1979. 

Foreign Production  (British) - One of the first British series to play successfully in the United States was the syndicated program THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD/CBS/1955-58 starring Richard Greene as the famous 12th century outlaw of Sherwood Forest. The series was produced by Sapphire Films, Ltd., England.
