"Kiss my grits!" - Popular repartee of Florence Jean "Flo" Castleberry (Polly Holliday), a sassy waitress working at an Arizona roadside diner on the sitcom ALICE/CBS/1976-85. Her insults were usually directed at Mel Sharples, the cafe owner. She continued her "Kiss my grits" comebacks on the spin-off series FLO/CBS/1980-81 where she opened her own restaurant in Cowtown, Texas.
