House Cats  (Real)

Minerva - The orange feline pet on the sitcom OUR MISS BROOKS/CBS/1952-56. Minerva belonged to Mrs. Maggie Davis (Jane Morgan), the landlady of Connie Brooks (Eve Arden), a wisecracking English teacher.

Trained by veteran animal handler Frank Inn, Minerva (originally called Orangey) had previously starred in the movie Rhubarb (1946) based on the novel about a cat who inherited a baseball team. Minerva later appeared in the film Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) for which she won a PATSY award (the animal equivalent of the Oscar's).
