Hogan, Schultz & KlinkHogan's Heroes Dialog - Script dialog from the wartime comedy HOGAN'S HEROES was re-dubbed when it aired overseas in the 1990s on Germany's Cable 1 Network (retitled "A Cage Full of Heroes"). To ensure that German viewers understood the show was not to be taken seriously phrases like "Heil Hitler (the salute is now illegal in Germany) were replaced with phrases like "Adios," "Thanks be to Heaven," or Heil Schitzler." And references to dropping "bombs" on London were changed to "condoms." The central Nazi officers, Commander Klink (Werner Klemperer) and Sergeant Hans Schultz (John Banner) now spoke in regional dialects that made them appear even more dim-witted.
