Los Angeles - Over the years, Los Angeles, has been used as the site for many television shoots. Two pieces of local architecture, in particular, have gained popularity and familiarity with fans of television. The first is the Los Angeles City Hall (located at 200 N. Spring Street) which was used as the site of the Daily Planet Newspaper on THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN/SYN/1951-57 and as the backdrop for the police drama DRAGNET/NBC/1952-59/67-70. The second site is the 444 Building located on S. Flower Street (formerly the Wells Fargo Building) which was the fictional location of the McKenzie, Brackman, Chaney & Kuzak law firm on the NBC law drama L.A. LAW/NBC/1986-94. In addition, the detective drama THE CITY OF ANGELS/NBC/1976 was set in the 1930s Metropolis of Los Angeles which at the time supposedly, was one of the least corrupt cities in the country. TRIVIA NOTE: Founded by the Spanish, Los Angeles was established in 1781 by Felipe de Neve as El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora La Reina de Los Angeles (The town of our Lady the Queen of the Angels).
