“Lemon Legs” Pants - On the sitcom SUDDENLY SUSAN/NBC/1996-2000, Todd Stites (David Strickland), the music critic for The Gate magazine pooled resources with his photographer coworker Luis Rivera (Nestor Carbonell) to go into business and sell woman’s clothing. Their product line featured a pair of bright yellow bell bottom pants called “Lemon Legs.” Their boss at The Gate however called Luis and Todd, the “Yellow Ass Boys” when they tried to model their wares. When the pants didn’t sell, Luis and Todd reluctantly liquidated their $1,700 stockpile of pants to a wholesaler for only $80.00. Later that week, a TV news anchor reported a story about a person at a disco whose pants spontaneously combusted [“All of a sudden my bun‘s on fire!”]. He was wearing a pair of “Lemon Legs.”
