L.L. Cool J's Pants - Rapper L.L. Cool J (real name: James Todd Smith) had the habit of rolling up one pant leg. The action contained no earth shaking message, it was just his way of making a fashion statement. L.L. Cool J ("Ladies Love Cool James") starred on the sitcom IN THE HOUSE/NBC/UPN/1995-96 as landlord Marion Hill. His rap lyrics (not affiliated with the gangsta rap scene) were not violent, anti-women, drug-oriented or sexually explicit. 

Reporter:	You’ve shown more longevity than most of the rappers you came up with. Will you still be behind the mike 30 years from now?
LL Cool J:	We’ll see what Vegas is paying. [laughs] I’ll be rapping about denture cream, Preparation H. My pants will still be sagging, but it’ll be from the Depends.
