The Garry Moore Show - In the spring of 1954, THE GARRY MOORE SHOW/CBS/195-58 announced that Durward Kirby (Moore's sidekick) would be given to the winner of the best letter stating "Why I would like to have Durward Kirby for my very own." Ownership was for one weekend. They actually built a crate for Durward Kirby and shipped him via Railway Express for Friday delivery to the doorsteps of Mrs. Robert Morse of Chardon, Ohio near Cleveland. He returned Monday sans crate with the winner of the contest to report on his weekend adventure.
