  Death - Miscellaneous

Johnny Carson on StageJohnny Carson's Death Threat - Once in the middle of one of his monologues during the 1960s, Johnny Carson looked into the audience of THE TONIGHT SHOW and said "Well, you might as well do it now, I'm dying out here anyway." The remark jokingly referred to a real death threat received earlier that week from a deranged man with a German accent and a Luger pistol who claimed he would be in the audience to kill Mr. Carson.
