Pokey (Pokerman the III) - Official name of Pokey, the pudgy basset hound companion of similarly overweight youngster Sylvester "Porky" Brockway (Donald Keeler) on the family drama JEFF'S COLLIE/CBS/1954-57. The episode "The Dog Show" (10/02/55) introduces Porkey's basset hound Pokey (AKC registered name is "Pokerman III"). On episode  "Pokey" (01/15/56) Matt Brockway complains Pokey is useless and tells Porky he is going to give the dog away and get Porky a "real dog." "The Tree House" (02/05/56): Jeff quarrels with Porky during their first campout in their new tree house when Pokey starts howling at the moon.
