Brown - Mongrel mutt seen on the western adventure THE WESTERNERS/NBC/1960. Brown was the frontier sidekick of Dave Blassingame (Brian Keith), a drifting cowboy. He called his dog Brown simply because "he's a big brown dog." This same golden brown canine also played in the 1957 Walt Disney film Old Yeller based on Fred Gipson's popular novel.
