Sylvia Schmitt (Betty White), a widowed Greeting Card Company
heiress who treats her dog like a substitute child.
When Gypsy was
not dancing (Waltzs on his hind legs), she ate from a silver
chaffing dish.
Gypsy Rose Dog's real name was Freddie. He spent his
early days as a stray on the streets of Orlando, Florida and then
jumped to fame as a canine supermodel for Compass dogwear. His
trainer was Cheryl Harris.
