Sam teamed with LAPD patrol car 2-Henry-6 and officer Mike Breen (Mark Harmon). Together they sniffed out the bad guys and the illegal substances they were transporting.

TRIVIA NOTE: The western adventure HONDO/ABC/1967 also featured a dog named Sam. He belonged to Hondo Lane (Ralph Taeger) US Army scout/troubleshooter who wandered the Arizona Territory of the late 1860s.

Sam was also the name of the beige dog owned by country gentlemen turned millionaire on the political comedy MR. DEEDS GOES TO TOWN/ABC/1969-70.
