Beethoven lived with the Newton family, including long-suffering
owner, George Newton (Dean Jones), his wife, Alice (Tress MacNeille)
and their children Ryce, Ted, and Emily.
Beethoven's animal pals were Caesar, a bloodhound; Ginger, a
collie; Sparky, a terrier; and the Newton's pet hamster, Mr. Huggs.
Produced by Universal Cartoon Studios, the
program was based on Ivan Reitman's popular live-action films
Beethoven (1992) and its sequels Beethoven's 2nd (1993)
and Beethoven's 3rd (200)), Beethoven's 4th (2001) and
Beethoven's 5th (2003).
