Maya - Faithful Indian elephant on the animal adventure MAYA/NBC/1967-68. Maya was belonged to a teenager named Raji (Sajid Khan). After Raji's parents were killed in a flood, the ownership of his elephant Maya was challenged and so he fled into the jungles of India, becoming a fugitive. An American teenager Terry Bowen (Jay North) in search of his lost father teamed with Raji and Maya the elephant who help the two wandering teenagers traverse the rugged Indian landscape.
