Angels are heavenly creatures relegated to the
spiritual world that sometime take on human form
and interact with the living on Earth. According
to Judeo-Christian beliefs, there are both good
and bad angels.
The good ones work for the glory of God and the
bad ones work in consort with Satan, a fallen
angel who leads men into temptation to take
possession of their souls and thus prevent them
from the happiness of eternity.
Angels are mentioned at least 108 times in the
Old Testament and 165 times in the New
Testament. For example Hebrew 13:2 says "Be not
forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby
some have entertained angels unaware."
The popular belief in guardian angels who
protect individuals from harm has been the theme
of some interesting and memorable series.
