Carl the Gnome - Diminutive con-artist and compulsive petty thief who was recruited by the Chicago Police Department as an informant on the occult adventure SPECIAL UNIT 2/UPN/2001-02. Carl the Gnome (Danny Woodburn) assists the covert group of SU2 detectives in hunting down and controlling a level of society known as Links (malicious paranormal species that evolved from the missing link between man and beast). Since Carl used to run with the Links crowd, he's SU2's best contact for monitoring their activities. In exchange for Carl's information, SU2 overlooks his criminal activities. Carl's police partners included Detective Nick O'Malley (Michael Landes) and Detective Kate Benson (Alexondra Lee). They all report to Captain Richard Page (Richard Gant), the leader of the SU2 Squad.
