THE X-FILES/FOX/1993-2002
**(Steven Williams) Mr. X, a covert African-American
government agent who provides information (about alien conspiracy to take
over the planet Earth) to white FBI agent Fox "Spooky" Mulder. Mr. X was
Mulder's contact after Deep Throat died. Mr. X, too, was later killed but
before he died he wrote the cryptic initials SRSG on the floor in his own
blood at the entrance of Mulder's apartment. The letters lead to Marita
Covarrubias, the Special Representative for the Secretary General. On
episode "Herrenvolk" Mr. X. was lured to Mulder's apartment when he saw
the letter "X" taped to Mulder's window. This "X" was Mulder's way of
letting Mr. X know he wanted to talk to him. On episode "731" Mr. X saved
Mulder by carrying him out of the train car before it exploded. Another
Black agent involved with Mulder and the conspiracy was Alvin Kersh (James
Pickens, Jr.), a former Vietnam Veteran and military pilot who was placed
in charge of "The X-Files" operative Fox Mulder and Dana Scully when they
were removed from the X-Files assignments. Kersh was later promoted to
Deputy Director and assigned white agent John Doggett to find Mulder who
had turned up missing. Kirsch was seen as both a skeptic who never
believed in the tall tales about Alien conspiracy and yet at times, he
seemed to be involved in the conspiracy to keep Mulder from the Truth? On
the series finale Kersh oversaw the Kangaroo military tribunal that
accused Mulder of wrong doing. When Mulder was sentenced to death by
lethal injection Kersh helps him escape. He tells Mulder and Scully to go
to Canada and be off the continent in 24 hours.
