Aquaman - Marime superhero
featured on the animated series THE SUPERMAN-AQUAMAN
HOUR OF ADVENTURES/CBS/1967-1968 produced by Filmation Studios.

Deep beneath the waves of the Atlantic ocean lived Aquaman, a
superhero born of an Atlantean mother and a human father.
His abilities included swimming under water without the need for
artificial oxygen support (his Atlantean blood enables him to
derive his air supply directly from the water) and the ability
to telepathically communicate with all the creatures of the
ocean.

Aquaman reigned as Lord of the sunken city of Atlantis with his
wife Mera and his ward, Aqualad.

Occasionally, Aquaman visited the surface world in the guise of
human Arthur Curry. However, because he derived most of his
strength from the sea, his visits had to remain very brief.

Created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris, Aquaman first
appeared in the 1941 comic book More Fun No. 73.
