The Devil's Hole Gang - Outlaw gang seen on the western adventure ALIAS SMITH AND JONES/ABC/1971-73. The Devil's Hole Gang roamed the Old West in the later half of the nineteenth century. It members included Wheat (Earl Holliman), Lobo (Read Morgan), Kyle (Dennis Fimple) Hannibal Heyes (Peter Deuel/Roger Davis) and Jed "Kid" Curry (Ben Murphy). One day, however, Heyes and Curry decided they wanted to go straight and so they struck a deal with the territorial governor. If they stayed out of trouble they would be pardoned but only the Governor knew about the deal. Until then they would still be wanted by the law. In their new life they took on the alias of Joshua Smith (Hannibal) and Thaddeus Jones (Curry) and made the best of things until their pardon came. Throughout the series they were chased by posses, bounty hunters and their old gang members who tried to entice them back into the fold.
