Arsenio Hall's Finger-Tip Greeting - On THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW/FOX/1989-94 talk show host Arsenio Hall gave his bandleader Michael Wolff a finger-tip touch greeting at the beginning of each show. The reason? Shortly before Arsenio's dad died, he gave his son this fatherly advice: "I don't care what you do, just stay close to God. Whatever you do, strive to be number one at it." Then, he held up his forefinger and touched Arsenio's.
