 Arsenio Hall's Finger-Tip Greeting -
On THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW/FOX/1989-94 late night talk show host Arsenio Hall
gave his bandleader Michael Wolff a finger-tip touch greeting at the
beginning of each show.
Why the finger tip? Shortly before Arsenio's dad
died, he gave his son this fatherly advice: "I don't care what you
do, just stay close to God. Whatever you do, strive to be number one
at it." Then, he held up his forefinger and touched Arsenio's.
After the monologue and his banter with his band (the Posse) and
the audience, Arsenio began his show with his trademark catchphrase
