Bourbon Street Beat Greeting - The detective drama BOURBON STREET BEAT/ABC/1959-60 featured the private detective offices of "Randolph and Calhoun, Special Services" that adjoined the Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. When the members of the firm Rex Randolph (Richard Long) and Cal Calhoun (Andrew Duggan) greeted each other, they did so "sole to sole"...that is, rubbing the soles of their shoes together.
