Buttermilk - Beige-colored quarter horse on the western adventure THE ROY ROGERS SHOW/NBC/1951-57.

Buttermilk was ridden by Dale Evans (a.k.a. "Queen of the West") when she helped her husband, Roy Rogers maintain law and order in the contemporary western town of Mineral City.

The book "Dale Evans and Buttermilk" by Rose Welden was published by Whitman as a Tell-A-Tale Book in 1956. This title featured illustrations by Helmuth G. Wegner. Buttermilk also appeared in a number of novels written by Cole Fannin.

Buttermilk was also the name of the horse ridden by Joe Riley (William Smith), a gunfighter turned Texas Ranger on the western adventure LARADO/NBC/1965-67. See also "Trigger""
