The Tick - Klutzy seven-foot tall, 400-pound
superhero featured on the half-hour cartoon THE
TICK/FOX/1994-96.

The Tick dressed in a blue body stocking with
little antennae on its cowl and battled
criminals in a metropolis known as "The City."
His sidekick was a mild-mannered accountant
named Arthur, who dressed up like a moth. The
Tick traveled about town on the local city bus.
The Tick's catchphrase battle cry is "Spoooooon!
When facing evil, our bumbling crime fighter
says "Criminals, you face the sworn protector of
this fair city...you face The Tick!"
"Evil is just plain bad! You don't cotton to it!
You gotta smack
it in the nose with the rolled up newspaper of
goodness...Bad dog! Bad dog!"
When its time to relax, The Tick hangs out at
the Comet Club with his fellow superheroes:

TRIVIA NOTE:
A live-action spin-off of the original cartoon
series THE TICK/FOX./2001-2002 starred Patrick
Warburton as The Tick. The series only ran eight
episodes.

Terror. The Tick character was originally
created as a paper comic by Ben Edlund.
"Arthur, I am a citizen of the moment. I
built my white picket fence around the "now"
with a commanding view of the "soon to be"."
"You don't fight destiny! And you don't
eat crackers in the bed of your future or you
get all...scratchy!"
