The key belongs to her brother's motorcycle. Her brother, Lance Owens, Jr., 23, a police officer in East Orange, NJ was killed in 1992 in an off-duty accident when his Kawasaki motorcycle (given to him by Latifah & family) collided with a car. Ever since his death, Latifah has worn his motorcycle key as a memento. Her album, "Black Reign" is dedicated to her brother.
