Yada, Yada, Yada - The shorthanded
conversation style of Marcy (Suzanne Cryer) the shoplifting girlfriend of George
Costanza (Jason Alexander) featured on episode No. 145 "The Yada Yada" on the
situation comedy SEINFELD/NBC/1990-98.

George reports on Marcy
Whenever George asked Marcy anything,
she responded with a few words but then quickly summarized the rest of the
statement with the phrase "Yada, yada, yada" (a phrase akin to "Blah, Blah,
Blah").
| George: |
Listen to this, Marcy comes up and tells me
her ex-boyfriend, who was over late last night, and - yada, yada,
yada - I'm really tried today. |
| Jerry |
What do you think she was tired from? |
| George |
Well obviously, the yada yada. You don't think
she'd yada yada sex? |
| Elaine: |
[raises her hand] I'd yada yada sex. |
| George: |
Really? |
| Elaine: |
Yeah. I met this lawyer. We went out to
dinner. I had the lobster bisque. We went back to my place.
Yada yada yada - I never heard from him again |
| Jerry |
But you yada yada-ed over the best part |
| Elaine: |
No, I mentioned the bisque. |
