"I am a Ranger. We live for the One, we die for the One" - The sci-fi adventure BABYLON 5/SYN/1994-98 featured a group of interplanetary law enforcement officers known as The Rangers. Their motto read: "I am a Ranger. We live for the One, we die for the One. We go to the dark places where no one else dares venture! We stand on the bridge and no one passes. Entil'zha Veni!" The Rangers (a.k.a. the Anla-shok meaning "the application of force") were formed by the Minbari race over a thousand years ago under the direction of Valen (a great spiritual leader) to battle the Shadows.
