On the spin-off series JASON KING/ITV/1971-72, mustachioed agent Jason King left Department S
to become the writer of the Mark Caine novel series.
Traveling around the world, playboy Jason King did research on his
novels and the many beautiful women he discovered along the way.
From time to time, King reluctantly worked for the British
Intelligence. They motivated him to cooperate with the threat of
arrest for his unpaid back taxes.
DEPARTMENT S was filmed on the back-lot at Pinewood.
The follow-up series JASON KING was made on location around Europe.
