Madrid County - The
contemporary western police
drama CADE'S COUNTY/CBS/1971-72 starred veteran film actor Glenn Ford as
Sheriff Sam Cade.
Sam maintained law and order in and around the town of Madrid in the
southwestern part of the country. Many of Sam's encounters were with
Native American Indians who lived throughout the region.
Assisting Sheriff Sam Cade were:
- Edgar Buchanan as Senior Deputy J.J. Jackson
- Taylor Lacher as Deputy Arlo Pritchard
- Victor Campos as Deputy Rudy Davillo
- Peter Ford as Deputy Pete
- Sandra Ego as Joannie Little Bird, a police dispatcher
- Betty Ann Carr as Betty Ann Sundown, a police dispatcher
TRIVIA NOTE: Peter Ford who played
the role of Deputy Pete was Glenn Ford's son. Dispatchers Sandra Ego
and Betty Ann Carr are actual Native American Indians.
