60-minute Hanna-Barbera cartoon show THE SKATEBIRDS/CBS/1977-78.
Scat-Cat Chasing the Skatebirds
The Skatebirds (human actors beneath costumes) rode about the show on
skateboards. They included Satchel the Pelican, Knock-Knock the Woodpecker,
and Scooter the Penguin who were always being chased by the Scat-Cat.
The program also featured the cartoons THE ROBONIC STOOGES, WONDER WHEELS
and WOOFER & WIMPER and one live-action sci-fi segment called MYSTERY
ISLAND.
