Chuck the Lizard - Personal pet of Mark Hogan (Jeremy Licht) on sitcom THE HOGAN FAMILY/NBC/CBS/1986-90. Chuck the lizard died while in the care of Mark's brother, David (Jason Bateman). Mark got so angry that he sued his brother for negligence (Case No. 87M46B) to recover the $42.00 cost of his water dragon. When Mark's mother, Valerie (Valerie Harper) discovered his pet had died, she solemnly stated Chuck "deserved to be put to rest with dignity." David said "I'll get the shovel." Valerie replied "I'll get the shoe box". Initially, David thought of Chuck as "just a belt waiting to happen." David was found innocent of all negligence charges and both brothers reconciled.
