Shirley the Snake - Brazilian red-tailed Boa Constrictor seen on a number of television programs. Shirley (a non-poisonous snake) weighed 35 pounds and measured six-feet, 4 inches long. She was owned and trained by Tim Culbertson who purchased the snake (then 20 inches long) from a pet shop for $100.00. Shirley reportedly had mouth rot when she was bought. This was cured by using iodine and gauze bandages. Shirley has appeared in episodes of such shows as CHIPS/NBC/1977-83,; and the movies Logan's Run (1976) and Foul Play (1978).
