Tony Packo's Cafe - A real
Toledo-based restaurant founded in 1932 by Tony and Rose Packo
featured on the military situation comedy M*A*S*H/CBS/1972-83.

When Lebanese-American and Toledo resident Corporal Max Klinger
(Jamie Farr) got homesick for stateside food he often mentioned
the delicacies of Tony Packo's Cafe to get him through the
drabness of the food served at his Mobile Army Surgical Hospital
stationed in Korea.
Tony Packo's was mentioned six times on the program and once,
the interior of the cafe was recreated for a scene in which
Klinger dreamt of home.
The restaurant features Hungarian specialties (meat-filled
cabbage rolls) spicy, chili-topped hot dogs, a Dixieland band, and
celebrity autographed hot-dog buns hanging on the walls in
individual plastic bubbles.
Tony Packo's Cafe is located east of the Front Street exit from
Interstate 280 at 1902 Front Street in Toledo, Ohio.
