The Robonic Stooges - Spaceage bionic morons seen on components of the live-action Saturday morning children's program THE SKATEBIRDS/CBS/1977-78. The Robonic Stooges consisted of Moe (Paul Winchell), Larry (Joe Baker) and Curly (Frank Welker). After the series was canceled, the characters resurfaced in the midseason half-hour spin-off THE THREE ROBONIC STOOGES/CBS/1978. These five-minute cartoon segments were a futuristic adaptation of  the classic comedy trio The Three Stooges. They were written by Norman Mauer, a son-in-law of Moe Howard and former Three Stooges producer. See also NICKNAMES - "The Three Stooges"
