Sponge-worthy - Term relating to a contraceptive device on the sitcom SEINFELD/NBC/1990-98. When Elaine Benes' (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) favorite sponge contraceptive ceased production, she hurriedly searched the pharmacies in New York City and purchased the remaining supplies. Now faced with the dilemma of only having a few (12 boxes) of her favorite prophylactic left, she began to interview her prospective lover's to see if they were "Sponge-worthy." As one anxious man finished his story, Elaine could be heard saying "Run down your case again."
