Buttons the chimp - Chimpanzee on the sitcom ME AND THE CHIMP/CBS/1972. Buttons escaped from an Air Force test lab, and found refuge with the Reynolds, a southern California family whose members included two children, Scott and Kitty (Scott Kolden & Kami Cotler); their parents, Mike (Ted Bessell); a dentist; and Liz (Anita Gillette), his wife. The family named the chimp "Buttons" because of his persistent habit of pushing anything with buttons. Buttons was played by a three-year-old chimp named Jackie.
