The Chimps - The simian stars of THE CHIMPS (CHIMPLOCK HUMS)/SYN/1951, a detective spoof produced by Bing Crosby Productions/Courneya Films. The series featured the misadventures (52 half-hour episodes) of a Sherlock Holmes-type monkey who solved crimes dressed in invernesses and deerstalkers costumes. These highly trained monkeys even drove about in miniature motorcars. The World Jungle Compound at Thousand Oaks, California provided the chimps used on the program.
