Tamba the Chimp - Chimpanzee featured on the
jungle adventure JUNGLE JIM/SYN/1955.
Tamba was the pet chimpanzee of Jungle Jim (Johnny Weismuller), an
hunter/explorer who traveled to Afrcia and Asia looking for adventure. Tamba
also interacted with Jungle Jim's 10-year-old son, Skipper (Martin Huston) and
their manservant Kaseem (Dean Fredericks).
Tamba "The Talented Chimp" was played by Peggy the Chimp.
Tamba accompanied the 'Jungle Jim' character in 16 films for Columbia, as well as
the 26 episode syndicated TV series.
