Galactica (2004) - Mile-wide space cruiser featured on the sci-fi series BATTLESTAR GALACTICA/ABC/SCI/2004-2009.

Light years across the vastness of space was a solar system comprised of twelve planets. During their 7th millennium, these planetary systems were viciously attacked by Cylons, a race of robots created by humans who evolved into human form and mandated that their creators must die.

Gathering together the survivors of the holocaust, Commander Adama (Edward James Olmos), the leader of the Galactica star cruiser, fled the star system with a rag-tag armada of spacecraft in search of a planet their legends called Earth.

The Galactica's defenses included massive laser cannons and the Red Squad, a fleet of small fighter crafts called Colonial Vipers. Their top pilots were Captain Apollo (Jamie Bamber); Lt. Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff); and Lt. Boomer (Grace Park).
